Department of Treasury and Finance/Department of the Premier and Cabinet - Service Management Review

Opti Consulting worked closely with department stakeholders including senior department executives, customers and staff in a series of workshops and interviews to measure progress, identify issues and opportunities and develop solutions.

Opti Consulting were engaged by the Information and Technology Services branch of the Department of Treasury and Finance and Department of Premier and Cabinet to:

  1. Perform a review of the implementation of a Shared Services Model
  2. Identify service provision gaps in the establishment and delivery of the Shared Services Model
  3. Identify and validate issues associated with the Shared Services Model establishment and delivery
  4. Develop actions to address service gaps and resolve outstanding issues
  5. Outline opportunities for improvement in regards to service delivery

In delivering the first phase of the project, Opti Consulting worked closely with department stakeholders including senior department executives, customers and staff in a series of workshops and interviews to measure progress, identify issues and opportunities and develop solutions.

The deliverables from the first phase of the project included:

  1. A Shared Services Model Implementation Status Report
  2. An Opportunities for Improvement Report
  3. A Process Re-Engineering Implementation Plan

The second phase of the project involved Opti Consulting developing three key service delivery and service management process descriptions and flows. These were developed in conjunction with I&TS staff and enabled the identification of responsibilities associated with service delivery and management activities. Training in the use of the processes was also provided.
