VicUrban was formed through the merger of the Dockland’s Authority and the Urban and Regional Lands Corporation. As a result of the merger, VicUrban found itself with a number of duplicate systems that had been fit for purpose for the separate entities but were not necessarily suitable in the merged environment.

Opti Consulting was engaged for over three years to both define and provide augmentation services to the multi-million dollar transformation program. We established a very collaborative, positive and successful relationship with them.

Specifically transformation augmentation services provided by Opti Consulting included:

  • Business and IT strategists to define the transformation program involving 46 individual projects to be delivered over 5 years.
  • Project Managers to assist with running individual streams of the project which included specification of financial, business intelligence and customer relationship management requirements and the implementation of Oracle products including the Oracle e-Business Suite, Oracle CRM, BPEL and a integration with a third party feasibility application. Our project managers had direct responsibility for the engagement with third party systems integrators and application vendors.
  • Business analysts to review and improve business as usual processes including the implementation of ITIL based service desk processes.
  • Technical architects to define a robust infrastructure to support the corporate Oracle applications.
  • Training consultants to develop a training framework to support the implementation of the training program.
